Medical Tours Costa Rica: Medical Tourism Made Easy!
About Medical Tours Costa Rica and its family of websites providing medical tourism:
Over the last five years, Medical Tours Costa Rica has managed offshore health care services for over 2,000 patients from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and many other countries around the world. For common questions about Medical Tours Costa Rica and the medical trip process, please take a look at our FAQs page.
The company arose from a real need for quality medical, dental, and cosmetic surgery procedures at reasonable and affordable prices in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The costs of health care are continuously increasing, as is the list of people who do not have health care insurance, as more and more people cannot keep up with rising insurance costs.
We felt it was urgent to find cost-effective, high-quality health care, and we felt it was imperative for services to be available as close to home as possible for patient recovery and comfort. In the face of this challenge, Medical Tours Costa Rica was formed as a company by Brad and Bill Cook, and we have met the challenge, creating real solutions for your health care needs. Our search for quality health care, reasonable prices, and proximity to the United States, Canada, and Europe is what made us choose Costa Rica.
This lush, tropical, tourist-friendly destination has Joint Commission International accredited private hospitals, premium medical centers with state-of-the-art equipment, well-educated and highly-trained doctors, dentists, cosmetic surgeons, and other health care professionals. Costa Rica also offers the most modern and convenient therapeutic and recovery centers; all of it set amid the most fabulous, vibrant, colorful, and spectacular natural surroundings anywhere in the world.
There is no doubt that other countries around the world offer medical tourism procedures and service. Nonetheless, none of the other countries offer the same combination of safety, security, affordable prices and quality, modern, JCI accredited hospitals/premium health care centers, as well as highly-trained specialists, and the proximity to the United States, Canada, and Europe that Costa Rica can.
When you look for medical tourism, we want you to think of the Medical Tours Costa Rica Medical Tourism Group because we offer all-inclusive packages put together with the medical tourist in mind for the various specialties that are available. We have teamed with some of the foremost specialists, not only in Costa Rica, but in the Americas, to offer you high-quality, low-cost health care.
However, at Medical Tours Costa Rica, we are not doctors, dentists, cosmetic surgeons, or health care practitioners. We are medical tourism consultants, and our interest lies in helping potential patients find the best medical care at the most reasonable price for whatever procedures they are seeking.
Global Medical Tourism Summit in Jordan
Medical Tourism Summit Held In Jordan
The global medical tourism summit now taking place in Jordan has drawn more than 350 specialists, representatives, and experts from the medical tourism industry, as well as insurers from around the globe. Medical Tours Costa Rica’s own Bill Cook was a speaker during the event. The even was organized by the Private Hospitals Association (PHA), and the intent is to bring a focus on medical tourism and to foment awareness regarding the need for international standards of care and treatment. Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), Jordan Investment Board (JIB), Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Royal Jordanian (RJ) are all supporting the event. At Medical Tours Costa Rica, we are well-aware of the need for international standards in care and treatment where hospitals and clinics are concerned. However, we also support the Medical Tourism Association in its initiative to also certify medical tourism consultants. If companies in the medical tourism industry get certified, then there will be an increase in patient safety. There will also be standardization of processes and procedures. Patients, employers, and insurance companies are going to begin to look for international certification when dealing with medical tourism companies. What this means to companies like Medical Tours Costa Rica is that the company is willing to submit itself to the rigorous certification process to show that it is transparent, and that anyone booking medical tourism services through the company can expect the highest level of care, according to set international standards. The Pursuit of Quality – Medical Tourism
Do you have a company in the medical tourism business?
If you have a company in the medical tourism business, then you are probably scratching your head as to why large corporations and insurers have not come to the medical tourism industry to help defray costs. You have undoubtedly heard the pundits say that great deals from large corporations and insurers are coming, but this is the same song you have been hearing for about 5 years.
Offer a buyer 30%, 50%, even 80% in savings on health care, and you think there is no reason why the buyer should not jump at the chance at such a savings. The problem is that you are missing the mark since you are not dealing with the fact that there is a fear factor involved in the process.
If you are not taking into account the fact that people have an inherent fear of the unknown, you are far from where you need to be in the industry. Large corporations, insurers and individuals are scared of things they are unsure of or don’t really know.
You can actually get people to listen to your pitch, read information you provide, visit your fabulous website, etc… but people will continue to think about the risk involved, including poor quality, security issues, safety concerns, the possibility of upset employees over problems and issues with the service, weather problems, having to travel across many time zones, language and cultural issues, and many more problems.
How do you go about addressing these concerns? More to come in future posts.
