Doctor Marcela Zapata graduated as a DDS from UNIVERSIDAD LATINA DE COSTA RICA, located in San José, Costa Rica, in 2001. She continued her studies, and she received a specialized degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the UNIVERSIDAD DE CHILE, located in Santiago, Chile, in Doctor Marcela Zapata went ahead with her education and training, and she obtained a post-graduate diplomate in Implant Dentistry from LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY, USA.

She also received specialization and training in HOSPITAL SAN JOSE, COMPLEJO HOSPITALARIO NORTE, Santiago, Chile, where she took part in a 6 month fellowship in Implant Dentistry from January to July 2006.
