I’m writing to commend Starlene Spencer and the rest of your crew there for the best service I’ve had with any business. I was diagnosed in April 2011 with a benign growth that was serious and should be treated but not critical and given a total cost estimate of $30,000 for removal. Being self-employed and without insurance, I put treatment off while I saved money to pay for the operation. When I began having pain in my throat and was told it was the benign cyst draining into my throat and that I needed to have it removed; having vacationed in Costa Rica and having heard of fine medical treatment at much lower prices there, I got on the Internet and connected with Starlene.

Although not generally handling my type of situation, Starlene contacted the doctors and hospital, facilitated the transfer of medical records, coordinated treatments, handled everything right down to my lodging and transportation from the airport . The operation went off without a hitch, on Jan. 5, 2012. Dr. Zafrani did a remarkable job and now, May 8, 2012, the scar on my neck can barely be seen.

I was so impressed with everyone at this point, that I asked Starlene to set me up for a consult with a dentist. I have had dentures since a teen due to a car accident and knew I needed new ones, It ended up that Dr. Zafrani had also contacted Dr. Zapata for a consult since the soreness in my throat had nothing to do with the cyst I had removed. I met with Dr. Zapata and was so impressed that I made arrangements to stay on a few extra days to have new dentures made. Dr. Zapata and her crew were simply wonderful and produced the best fitting and looking dentures I’ve ever had.

During the extra days I stayed, Dr. Zafrani received the results of the biopsy he had performed on my “benign cyst” and of course it was a metesticized lymph gland and my sore throat was a stage 4 cancer on my right tonsil. Dr. Zafrani arranged consults with the best doctors in San Jose. They told me exactly what was happening and what to expect; gave me my options and firm quotes. I went back to the states to arrange financing and found that I qualified for a federal program that covers pre-existing illnesses which allowed me to get treatment among family and friends.

To cut a very long story short: If it hadn’t been for MTCR’s reasonable prices and wonderful staff, such as Starlene Spencer, I would have put treatment off and given this cancer an even greater chance to spread. Fortunately for me, I got teamed up with Starlene and the rest of your crew and now I have a good chance at full recovery.

I’d just like to thank you again and to let everyone else know that  your representations of great care at really bargain prices are not only accurate but doesn’t go nearly far enough. I had the best care I’ve ever experianced at 70% to 80% discount compared to southern California.
